The Club is organising a sponsored walk in aid of Stafford Rescue (Barbara Green) to be held on the 9th September 2018. The starting point is the car park for the Reedley Marina, off Barden Lane, Burnley, BB12 0DX.

The walk – where town meets country – is on the rural northern fringe of Burnley at Reedley Hallows and takes you along the Leeds/Liverpool canal towpath; followed by a riverside path; then along country roads and through woods and finally back to the Marina.

See the map below – the route is the blue line with red arrow indicators – on the day we will put up direction notices at key points.

Distance covered is just over 4 miles.

The Marina has a Bistro bar serving meals, drinks, coffee/tea and snacks.  Dogs are welcome on the balcony which is set out with tables and chairs – see photo below. There are also a number of picnic tables just outside the building.

Gather from 11.30; kick off at 12.00 midday.
